Maintenance of explosion-proof hydraulic wrench

In some flammable and explosive working environments such as oil storage, coalification, petroleum, and natural gas extraction, explosion-proof hydraulic wrenches are generally selected for bolt tightening. The use and maintenance of explosion-proof hydraulic wrenches are very important, not only related to the service life of the equipment, but also directly related to safety issues during the operation process. So, what should be paid attention to when using and maintaining explosion-proof hydraulic wrenches under these working conditions?

Before use, two points should be noted: first, it is necessary to confirm that the wrench has the corresponding explosion-proof performance and is qualified before putting it into use. Secondly, before use, check if all components of the wrench are intact, including the wrench body, oil pipe, joint, control handle, etc. Check if the hydraulic oil level is appropriate and ensure that the oil is clean.

During the operation, ensure that the oil pipe connection of the wrench is stable, avoid twisting or stepping on the oil pipe, and avoid local pressure holding during use that may cause related explosions. Use the correct operating method and wrench placement method to ensure that the hand is outside the force range of the wrench and the reaction force arm is firmly in contact with the support. During the operation of the wrench, do not touch the rotating parts or oil pipe joints, or pull the oil pipe to drag the wrench.

After completing the homework, clean the wrench and cover the quick connect dust cap to prevent dust and dirt from entering the inside of the wrench. Regularly lubricate the internal components of the wrench with molybdenum disulfide to prevent dry lubrication and hard friction of metal components.

When not in use, store the wrench in a dry and clean place to avoid corrosion and damage to metal and electrical components caused by extreme temperature and humidity. Appropriate safety measures should be taken when transporting wrenches to prevent equipment damage during transportation.

Long term high-intensity operation requires regular inspection of various components of the wrench, including oil pipes, joints, control handles, etc., to ensure that there is no damage or wear. Replace the contaminated and deteriorated oil body. For any maintenance work, it should be carried out according to the manufacturer's recommendations and using original factory accessories. The accuracy of pump stations and wrenches also requires regular calibration to ensure their reliable output.
If there is any abnormal situation with the wrench, such as insufficient output force, oil leakage, etc., it should be immediately stopped from use and inspected or repaired. Personnel operating wrenches should receive relevant training. Untrained personnel operating wrenches can not only cause safety accidents but also potentially harm the wrench.
